NETWORKING

It is not just what you learn during the Idea Factory that’s important! The ideas that YOU bring to the table are a vital part of the learning process, as are the people you meet as you experience a real sense of community at the Idea Factory.

There are many networking opportunities at the 2012 Idea Factory:

Sunday Welcome Reception

Ceasars Palace Pool of the Gods
A great place to unwind and charge up all at the same time!  After the first day of the Idea Factory, mingle with others to discuss the business of event planning with colleagues from across the country who fully understand your job, because it’s their job too! Specific groups of like-minded professionals like Spotlight Award recipients and finalists, speakers and more will gather in specific areas for focused conversations and the sharing of ideas - the perfect place to kick off a great week of inspiration.

Attendee Lounge

A place to relax, network and discover, the Attendee Lounge offers a relaxing atmosphere where you can meet with co-workers to plan your day over coffee, mingle with other attendees and share your thoughts.

Connection Boards
Look for Connection Boards where you can post messages and meet others who shared your interests and point of view.  Look for someone to discuss trends and business strategies in a common market, find a friend to attend evening events with, or just to share a cab to the airport.

All-You-Can-Network Buffet

Belly up to the All-you-can-network "buffet cart" and load up with stackable badge ribbons that tell others exactly who you are! Identify yourself by the type of planner you are, the kind of events you do, your market size or region or the position within your operation. Connect with other professionals who share similar interests or ideas! This buffet doesn't offer any food, but it helps satisfy the hunger for the invaluable insight you get from bouncing your ideas and challenges off others.
