Where do you find inspiration?
Music and travel.
What excites you most about the year ahead in the events industry or your personal business?
I believe corporate spending is returning and everyone is beginning to truly understand the importance of experiential events. I believe that companies and sponsors will seek to engage consumers in ways beyond traditional media – ways in which event producers have the needed vision and expertise.
What is the best piece of business advice you’ve ever been given?
Go for it! Every time I’ve considered a major career move, I’ve had family and friends that have supported me and encouraged the risk taking involved with leaving a comfortable position in hopes of finding greater challenges, rewards and happiness.
What do you hope attendees will take away from your session?
I’d like the event professionals to understand how pitches are perceived by the clients (like me) who receive them. I’d hope to educate everyone on how to set themselves apart from the competition and deliver what the client is really seeking. I’d like to give everyone in attendance a few tips that they can take back and incorporate into their pitches that will land their next client or job.
