Katy Carrier is the founding attorney and principal of Carrier & Associates, a boutique law practice catering to event professionals and other creative businesses. Katy is a former professional event planner, and founded Carrier & Associates on the premise that creative business owners can benefit greatly from specialized legal services. 

Katy is a graduate of Tulane University Law School in New Orleans, Louisiana, and earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and graphic design from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  Prior to starting Carrier & Associates, Katy worked as an associate attorney and litigation consultant in the areas of business law, international law and intellectual property. 

Katy authors the blog The Law for Creatives, and also travels the country teaching an educational workshop series called Law School for Wedding Professionals.
