BIO
With more than 20+ years of experience in Hospitality and Special Events, his background spans the spectrum from catering to equipment to event and meeting production. This hands-on operations savvy means inventive meeting & event solutions with a thoughtful brand implementation. Prior to founding In Good Company Events, Kristjan was Director of Special Events for a large West Coast DMC and Artistic Director for a well known destination wedding planner. Before that, he honed his equipment and tenting expertise as Vice President of Business Development for a large rental company in Los Angeles and General Manager of a rental company in the Bay Area.
After attending the Master’s in Hospitality program at University of Nevada – Las Vegas, Kristjan helped found the off-premise catering division for a major restaurant group in Las Vegas. Kristjan brings all of his talents to the room as a sought after speaker within the industry for groups such as ISES Eventworld, The Special Event, Event Solutions, Bay Area Wedding Network and the American Rental Association. He currently serves as a Board Member and Event Chairperson for the SEARCH Foundation and on the ISES International Education Council, most recently completing a term as the ISES Eventworld Education Chairperson. He and In Good Company Events team are the recipient of numerous accolades including being the winner of multiple Special Event Magazine Gala Award(s), Texas Star Award(s), ISES Esprit Award and ISES Western Regional Excellence Award(s). His expertise, work and editorial talent has been featured in periodicals such as Special Events Magazine, In Tents and Live Design, as well as on television networks such as Fine Living.
