Kylie Carlson is the founder the Wedding and Events Institute (WEI), an online education and certification entity. She opened her first WEI online campus in 2004 in Australia followed by New Zealand and the UK. WEI USA opened in 2011. The mission of WEI is to train students in wedding planning and styling, corporate event planning and design. The online curriculum includes a comprehensive suite of planning and design tools, business templates and software within a dedicated training environment. WEI offers general certification through its program, as well as the specialized Certified Wedding Designer ™ through an advanced course.
